Marco Rubio Backs the GOP's Horrible Tax Plan

Here’s all the shit we couldn’t cover today:

• After Republicans made a modest increase to the child tax credit, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is now on board with the (still) very scary Republican tax plan, as is Sen. Bob Corker. Three Republicans senators, Susan Collins, Jeff Flake and Mike Lee, remain undecided. Republicans plan to unveil a final draft of the bill Friday evening. [New York Times]
• Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has been released from house arrest on $10 million bail. He is still confined to two counties in Florida, however, and can’t visit transportation centers like airports or bus stations. The only exceptions are pre-arranged trips to Washington DC for court appearances. [CNN]
• Jared Kushner and his legal team are looking for a crisis PR firm. Exciting! [Washington Post]
• Wyoming Secretary of State Ed Murray has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in 1982. Murray denied the allegation and weirdly attempted to spin it into a feminist teachable moment. “While I am deeply disturbed by this false allegation, I choose to allow this to serve as a reminder of how important it is to be an advocate for the courageous women and men who have spoken out against a very serious problem in our country.” [Casper Star-Tribune]
