My Investigation Into WTF Katy Perry and Jake Paul Were Doing Together
Is she oblivious, or is she MAGA? Let’s find out.

Last week, Jake Paul posted an Instagram carousel that included a photo of him at an event with Katy Perry. Given that Perry is an A-list pop star and Paul is a clout-chasing, MAGA-grifting, wannabe C-lister (who unfortunately has a massive following and millions of dollars), I have several questions. Namely, what is this mysterious event they both attended? What are the odds that Perry actually knows who this man is? And was she being held against her will?
In the photo, Paul and Perry are sitting next to each other and posing with each other’s name settings, which he captioned, “Life’s been hot n cold, so I switched lives with Katy Perry.” The carousel included other recent snapshots of Paul’s life, including when he “choked out” Bryan Johnson and “partied” with Kid Rock. (Sounds like a blast, right?) Perry also posted a photo wearing the same dress as in Paul’s photo, but alas, no Pauls in sight. Let’s get investigating. What was the event where these two crossed paths?
My first lead was hidden in the details of Paul’s lengthy Instagram caption… “Went to speak at @jdvance summit black tie event,” Paul wrote. According to CBS News, a “secretive conservative donor summit” took place at the Four Seasons in Nashville last week, where JD Vance was rumored to attend, sparking speculation about a 2028 presidential campaign. Kid Rock was also spotted walking around the hotel, which would explain the photo of Paul and Kid Rock in the post.
But something’s not adding up. In the photo of Perry and Paul, they are not following a black-tie dress code. Paul is wearing a dress shirt without a tie, and his sleeves are rolled up. A lot of angry bridesmaids on Instagram would tell you that’s not black tie. This event was formal at best. Is there a time of night after dessert when you can take off your tie and unbutton a little? I’ve never been to a secretive conservative donor summit before, so I can’t say.
It’s time to move on to another lead. In the same Instagram caption, Paul added, “Went to @jpmorgan summit with @antifund @geoffreywood.” So, could the JP Morgan Summit be the mystery event where the photo was taken? Bingo. Perry and her boyfriend, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, were confirmed to be in attendance at the JP Morgan Tech 100 summit in Yellowstone last week. Other attendees included the Kushners, Ivanka Trump, and Jeff Bezos. Perry and Trudeau’s attendance was also confirmed by Paul on (shudder) Theo Von’s podcast, where Paul also discussed wanting to do blackface to get back at Druski. What a guy.
So, Perry was NOT at the secret conservative donor summit. Phew! And while in Yellowstone, the couple hit the slopes with Prince Harry and Olympian Eileen Gu. But all of this still doesn’t answer my question. Does Katy Perry know who Jake Paul is? Or is she just oblivious? Maybe, but let’s check Perry’s history.
In 2022, Perry faced backlash for voting for the anti-abortion Republican mayoral candidate Rick Caruso. “I am voting for a myriad of reasons (see the news) but in particular because Los Angeles is a hot mess atm,” she shared on Instagram.
In my professional internet-sleuthing opinion, she might not be full-on MAGA like Paul, but she’s definitely rubbing shoulders with the far-right billionaires and the ghouls connected to the current administration. Case closed…for now.
