Report: Shelly Miscavige Has Been Spotted Near Scientology Compound Looking 'Frail'

Latest

Journalist and Scientology expert Tony Ortega published a lengthy report on his personal website Thursday claiming Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige, has been spotted twice in the past year in Crestline, CA, a small town just miles away from a Scientology compound known as the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST).

Many people, Ortega and former Scientologist Leah Remini among them, claim Miscavige has been “missing” since 2005. Remini went so far as to open a missing persons report with the LAPD in 2015, though it was later dismissed by the department as “unfounded.” Perhaps that’s because they got the confirmation that Ortega has speculated about, which is that Miscavige may be “stashed away” at the CST, a “33-acre super-secret compound” tucked away in the mountains.

Ortega claims to have spoken with a woman he calls Rachel, who has lived “in the area” her entire life. She and her husband claim to have seen a woman they are “90% certain” was Miscavige twice since last December.

The first sighting was outside a hardware store in nearby Crestline. Writes Ortega:

“She was a thin, smaller woman, escorted by two men,” Rachel says. “Disheveled. Almost like a drug addict, or like she was homeless.”
The woman, whom Rachel now believes was Shelly Miscavige, looked all of her 55 years, had long, stringy graying hair, and appeared “frail.”
The two men with her looked younger; Rachel estimates they were in their 30s. “They seemed to be leading her, like you would someone who was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It was awkward.”

The second sighting occurred this April. Ortega continues:

This time, Rachel says she was at Goodwin & Sons Market, a few blocks away from the hardware store, when the same woman came in, again escorted by two younger men. The woman had the same kind of appearance as the previous time, but Rachel didn’t notice if it was the same two young men.

A frail, 55-year-old woman who matches the description of the wife of a cult leader being escorted around a small mountain town by two mysterious young men? The sound you just heard after reading that was Leah Remini slamming on the gas pedal of her Range Rover while screaming, “I’M COMIN’ FOR YOU SHELLY!!!”
