I’m surprised that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Kardashian actually had things say to each other, but they did and it was nice.
The two met backstage at Kanye West’s show in New York last week and apparently, SJP was “impressed” by ol’ Kimmy’s “presence.” From the mouth of any other celebrity, that phrase would seem pretty bad – slightly shady and less than flattering. As much as it pains me to say it because she has always grated on me in a way that I can’t quite nail down, Sarah Jessica Parker is probably pretty lovely in person, just like her perfume of the same name which I can confirm smells delightful.
Anyway, the whole encounter sounds nice and fine. Look, here’s what SJP said about Kimberly. Look how nice!
“[She] obviously has enormous influence, and she is more and more aware of what she wants and the images that she chooses to project, which she is in complete control of,” she said. “I think she is a young woman who is evolving all the time and one shouldn’t make a decision about anybody. She is not baked and done — I’m not either — so let her experiment and delight in the choices she has to make, and let’s be kind to one another.”
That’s it. That’s so genuine! That’s also a pretty fair thing to say about anyone, celebrity or otherwise, so maybe Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t actually The Worst and I’ve been wrong all along.
