Stop the Presses! The Save-the-Dates Are Out!

The save-the-dates for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding have reportedly been sent out. Oh, you didn’t get one? Weird…I’m sure it’s still in the mail!

Since their engagement in August, the ongoing wedding-planning speculation has left me with whiplash, and it’s all been for naught, because, according to the save-the-dates obtained by Page Six, our American royal wedding will reportedly take place on July 3rd in New York City.

In November, Page Six reported that the wedding would be on June 13 at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. According to their little birds, Swift was determined to be married on the 13th and “cut a hefty check” to the bride who originally booked the venue. It was a fair theory, given that 13 is Swift’s favorite number, and she doesn’t play about numerology. But then again, the couple was supposedly in need of a venue that could accommodate more, and there were even whispers of Swift’s own Mansion in Watch Hill being the solution. Supposedly this. Reportedly that. It’s all hearsay. We demand the truth! 

Last week, Us Weekly reported that an open spot in Kelce’s training camp schedule “appeared to confirm” the June 13 theory. But just as quickly, a wedding planner at Ocean House shut down rumors that Swift was the bride that weekend. So, we were back to square one.

The new leading theory that the wedding will be in July stands to be the most plausible—or could this just be Swift’s secret plan to throw us off the scent? The wedding planning business is ruthless, and the tension is palpable.

Kelce’s sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, declared on her podcast, “I don’t have any details. I don’t have any details. I have no details. I have none. Look at that. That’s how many details I have. None. None,” adding, “Even if I did have any information, I’m not fucking telling you. That’s private information between family. A, B, and see your way out.” Even so, we learned that Kelce’s bachelor party will take place in the Bahamas at the end of May, where he will have a “low-key, golf weekend.” Sounds like a blast…

I guess we will just have to wait until the 6-part Disney+ docuseries about the planning of this historic event. But until then, trust no one. And definitely don’t ask Kylie.
