Trump Unable To Flip Coins; Overturns Accessibility Instead

Welcome back to Monday Barf Bag.

When thinking of the top candidates for “worst money management,” few names should come to mind quicker than that of President Trump, who’s managed to backslide economic growth, obliterate the dearly loved penny, and introduce a shitcoin that crashed as soon as it launched—all in less than one year. But it appears Trump isn’t just bad with managing money, he literally can’t handle it. At the 126th Army-Navy game in Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, he couldn’t even flip a coin.

But he tried. In videos of the event, a referee asks Trump, “Mr. President, would you do the honor?” and hands him the coin that determines which team gets the ball. Trump takes the coin in his gloved palm, hoists it upwards, and lets it fall to the ground. The coin, as far as eyes can tell, does not flip. At all.

“Donald Trump even flips a coin like a total loser,” @ArtCandee tweeted. “Trump may have executed the single worst coin flip in history,” wrote Hal Stewart, a former congressional candidate for New York. “That coin is headed to the hall of shame!” Ed Krassenstein, a political commentator, wrote “Donald Trump flips a coin like a pansy.”

But Trump’s inability to flip is not nearly as well known as his hankering to overturn. Also on Thursday, Politico reported that White House attorneys argued that being required to provide sign language interpretation in White House news conferences would “severely intrude” on Trump’s “prerogative to control the image he presents to the public.”

In May, the National Association for the Deaf sued Trump for ending a Biden-era service in which a sign language interpreter was required at White House briefings. The lawsuit states that by stopping American Sign Language (ASL) services, Trump was thus “denying hundreds of thousands of deaf Americans meaningful access to the White House’s real-time communications.”  The White House’s insane argument on image control came as part of that ongoing case.

But if Trump really wants to improve the image he presents to the public, my suggestion to him would be to stop rolling back anything DEI-related just because it’s DEI-related… and, well, to practice flipping a coin.
