Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Have an Announcement…

The forever-entangled, impossible-to-predict Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have an announcement: They are back together. They were never technically apart, not in the legal sense, but they were separated. Then entangled. Then, spiritually divorced.

No one knew for sure, and who could blame the people for being curious? The couple perennially reveals intimate, riddled details about their relationship, whether it be via a tell-all memoir or Red Table Talk. So excuse us if we have a few questions. On Tuesday, People dropped an exclusive announcing that the couple had moved back in together, and that they’ve actually been cohabiting for a few years now, despite previous scoops and despite our best efforts to keep up with the ever-evolving status of their union:

“Jada moved back in with Will two years ago,” the insider told the outlet. “They are happy and love each other and are, as ever, committed to supporting each other.” Last we heard in 2025, a source told People that the couple was still together, but “have had separate homes for years.” So they have separate homes, AND they’re living together? Always keep them guessing…

In her 2023 memoir Worthy, Jada revealed that the two had been separated since 2016, which meant they had been apart long before the entanglement of it all and before the infamous slap heard round the world. She was doing a lot of press for the memoir at the time, during which she revealed several details about the fracturing of their now 28-year union. She even told Hoda Kotb that they were spiritually, metaphorically, and metaphysically divorced.

“Why it fractured…that, that’s a lot of things. By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying,” she told Kotb. “I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be.”

“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through…whatever,” Jada added. “I just haven’t been able to break that promise.” 

She then told Daily Mail(?), “It took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”…Whatever that means!

Well, I guess congratulations are in order for the happy couple, who appear to be atomically impossible to separate without ripping apart the fabric of spacetime. Never let them know your next move.
