Would You Believe Anthony Weiner Was Accused of More Twitter Sexting? Oh, You Would?

Politics

There are so few certainties in life. Will American Democracy crumble? Will I ever have muscular arms? Who can say! But through it all, we can take comfort in the dogged consistency of disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner, who appears unable to stop sexting women on public platforms.

On Sunday night, the New York Post published photos that were apparently sent between Weiner and a “busty brunette out West,” who spoke to the Post on the condition of anonymity. Following publication of the article, Weiner’s Twitter account disappeared. But the most incriminating—and actually distressing—photo includes his 5-year-old son with Clinton aide Huma Abedin:

The stay-at-home cad shot the revealing photo while discussing massage parlors “near my old apartment” shortly after 3 a.m. on July 31, 2015, a screenshot of the exchange shows.
Weiner was clearly aroused by his conversation with the 40-something divorcee when he abruptly changed the subject.
“Someone just climbed into my bed,” Weiner wrote.
“Really?” she responded.
Weiner then hit “Send” on the cringe-inducing image, which shows a bulge in his white, Jockey-brand boxer briefs and his son cuddled up to his left, wrapped in a light-green blanket.
“You do realize you can see you[r] Weiner in that pic??” the woman wrote.

Weiner originally resigned from Congress in 2011 after accidentally tweeting a photo of his erect penis; he was evidently afraid (or “afraid,” as this would seem to be a risk he enjoys taking) that he had accidentally publicly shared it once again:

“Ooooooh . . . I was scared. For half a second I thought I posted something. Stop looking at my crotch,” Weiner wrote back.

The Post also acquired a number of explicit messages sent between the pair between January 2015 and earlier this month, noting that Weiner frequently initiated the sex talk. When reached for comment by the Post, Weiner said that he and the woman “have been friends for some time.”

“She has asked me not to comment except to say that our conversations were private, often included pictures of her nieces and nephews and my son and were always appropriate,” he said.

Weiner’s most recent sexting scandal occurred during his 2013 campaign for New York City mayor, when it was discovered that he’d used the pseudonym “Carlos Danger” to continue sending sexually explicit messages.

The Post referred to the woman in question as a Trump supporter who’s “used Twitter to bash both President Obama and Clinton.” Weiner’s wife Huma Abedin, who is expected to hold a senior advisory role should Clinton win the presidency in November, has not responded to the new report.

It is Anthony Weiner’s weiner’s world, folks, and we are just living in it.
