Happy hump day! Or: Hump Day? Looks weird both ways.
Here’s all the shit we couldn’t cover today:
- Senate Democrats are working to delay confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. I’m sure they’ll pull this off successfully because they are good at holding to their commitments. [Washington Post]
- New York state prosecutors are back on Michael Cohen’s ass with a brand new subpoena. [Associated Press]
- Steven Tyler, father of Liv, Aero of Smith, has asked Trump once again to stop playing his songs at rallies. But I just found out that Tyler is also a registered Republican, so! Clean home, son! [The Hill]
- Someone tweeted the notes from the jury foreman in the Paul Manafort trial. Each is handwritten, and they tell a story of a jury, first, confused by the terms “shell company” and “reasonable doubt,” then confused by how to fill out forms (“We will need another form please”), and finally, unable to reach a consensus on 10 counts. I know it’s not meant to be funny, but I found it hilarious. [Twitter]
Here are some tweets the president was allowed to publish today:
