Trojan has a brand-new ad out, in which a hipster-geek gets his girlfriend gonorrhea for Valentine’s Day. One hopes she got an orgasm on the side, at least.
Is it effective? I’m not sure. Presumably, most people that choose to use condoms do so in order to prevent (particularly incurable) diseases and pregnancy already. Is a sarcastic reminder necessary for people to recognize that even emo hispter geeks that get you lame (but potentially sweet) Valentine’s Day presents can spread disease?
Also, does anyone else think it’s weird that they don’t kiss? Is that too sexual for a condom ad highlighting the prevelance of sexually transmitted diseases?
