Today we wondered if we’ll ever be rid of Sarah Palin. AndPreciousLittleOfThat says we’ll never shake her (so you can stop running):
When an object enters the Earth’s atmosphere, it must do so at a very precise angle. Too steep and it burns away to nothing. Too shallow and it bounces off, consigned to the cold embrace of outer space.
Sarah Palin is, as near I can tell, perfectly angled to enter and orbit around Earth forever. She won’t burn up, she won’t go away; she’ll simply orbit around us, sending inane comments and observations our way like an ersatz Voyager spacecraft.
It’s comforting in a way. And completely terrifying in many, many others.
