Inspiring Woman Wears Skirt

Blake Lively, liberator, staunch defender of her decision to pick out her own clothes, has been photographed exiting Christian Dior’s Paris office wearing a skirt for the first time in months, according to Page Six. I am empowered.

The skirt, which Entertainment Online has called “stunning” is a large skirt, by no means remarkable, but ample in fabric and accomplishes its mission in protecting her legs–but the real news is that she’s broken a two-month streak of exclusively wearing luxury suits in order to promote her new movie A Simple Favor. The fashion police have taken out a warrant on the suits, forcing Lively to assert her rights in the people’s court of Instagram. She wrote in one comments section:

“Just lookin’ to encourage women to do what men do without being teased for it. Yes, even in a space as material as fashion. It all starts somewhere … and everyone’s voice counts.”

As a person who also more or less wears the same thing for days on end, I applaud this statement.

More on this awful Asia ArgentoJimmy Bennett battle: TMZ reports that Argento’s lawyer has sent a letter warning Bennett that they are prepared to file a libel suit if he makes any “slanderous, defamatory or untruthful statements.” Bennett, who has accused Argento of sexually assaulting him when he was 17, which Argento has adamantly denied, is reportedly scheduled to appear on Italian TV for an interview this weekend. On Monday, Argento also threatened to sue Rose McGowan, who made a statement supporting Bennett’s claims.

In her memoire My Thoughts Exactly (excerpted via the Mirror), Lily Allen claims that a famous soccer player and friend of her father had sex with her at age 14 and he was 19, which her father trivialized as a running joke. Ugh.
