Instagram, the arbiter of America’s moral center between food and #gymflow, has welcomed at least one banned word back into their good graces: #curvy.
Last week, according to the Washington Post, the hashtag celebrating the bodacious women of Instagram was decommissioned due to what a company spokesperson called “an excess of inappropriate content.” But on Friday, #curvy has returned, thanks to #curvy users and the people who love them complaining on the Internet. Supporters of the hashtag pointed out that #curvy celebrated healthy body image—why ban that? Whose side are you really on, Instagram?
Instagram agreed they were insensitive to fans of #curvy bods and let ‘gram users search for them in peace. TGIF.
