Kate McKinnon had a pretty funny confessional with Late Night host and former Saturday Night Live cohort Seth Meyers on Monday.
McKinnon told Meyers she recently got a little bit of shade from a local cat shelter while working on a sketch for SNL. “I had been to a cat shelter the weekend before,” she tole Meyers. “There was a tweet from some of the wonderful women who work there saying, ‘You just came in here to do research and you don’t really care about cats.'” (This would be mortifying to me.) McKinnon offered a formal apology to the shelter, which is just another disturbing sign that cats are slowly taking over our world. I don’t know if McKinnon does really “care deeply for cats.” Perhaps she is just terrified of the possible ramifications of publicly speaking against them.
