Kate Upton Does Not Wash a Car in This New Super Bowl Ad

(Let’s all just pause to acknowledge that what we are about to do is watch an ad for an ad.)

(Okay, moment over.)

Although the ad promises, “KATE UPTON WASHES THE NEW MERCEDES CLA” — pause — “IN SLOW MOTION,” that isn’t actually the case. Upton, at best, supervises. The actual washing is undertaken by some dudes in athletic jerseys. Upton might as well be over there checking her email. At one point she seems to be literally doing her nails. This ad is, as the Wall Street Journal points out, boring. Try harder next time, Mercedes.
