Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Are Brady Bunching

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and former extraterrestrial/American pop star Katy Perry are taking their new relationship to the next level… by blending their families, and this could just be the American-Canadian union we needed to bring peace to our northern border.

Perry and Trudeau were first spotted on a date in Montreal in July of 2025, and JFC, I guess it really has almost been a year. After much doubt that this rebound relationship would last—Perry split from ex Orlando Bloom in June of 2025—the odd couple was still going strong in October when they were paparazzi’d K-I-S-S-I-N-G on a yacht in Santa Barbara. The couple then celebrated the holidays together, experienced Bieberchella together, and, in April, attended the JPMorgan Tech 100 summit together (fun date night!). Other couple friends in attendance included Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, so clearly, couples who JPMorgan summit together, stay together. Perry was also photographed at the event next to Jake Paul (boo!), but the jury is still out on whether she knows who that is or not.

According to an exclusive from Us Weekly, the couple—Katy and Justin, not Katy and Jake—have been “integrating their lives more and more” in recent months, and Perry has introduced her daughter to Trudeau’s three kids. The outlet also reported that Trudeau purchased a $3.1 million home in Montreal, where “he wants her to live part of the year with him.” I smell a Brady Bunch reboot! As we noted after Bieberchella, Trudeau might be following in his father Pierre Trudeau’s footsteps, who also dated famous women, including powerhouse Barbara Streisand.

“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months, and they are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary,” the insider source said. “They both feel it’s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”

“Things between Katy and Justin are very serious,” the source added. “After her split from Orlando, Katy really wasn’t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon, but Justin completely caught her by surprise.” I think it caught everyone by surprise, but go on. “He came into her life at the right time, and they have developed a really strong connection.”

I suppose a year of dating is a reasonable incubation period before introducing the kids, so I am once again proven wrong—Trudeau was not a rebound after all, but rather potential step-dad material. But how are the kids going to deal with having a pop star mother and a former PM father? The sitcom practically writes itself.
