Kim Kardashian Vanished Photos of Meghan Markle at Her Mom’s Birthday

We’re all familiar with the philosophical question, “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” What about, “If ex-British royals attend the 70th birthday of an American matriarch momager, but there are no photos of them, were they really there?” For me, the answer to both is: who fuckin’ cares!

But obviously, people do care because both Kim Kardashian and the birthday woman (I know the current state of her face screams “infant,” but she is a 70-year-old woman), Kris Jenner, deleted Instagram photos of Meghan Markle at Jenner’s birthday party from last weekend. Kim initially included Meghan in an Instagram slideshow that she shared on Monday. But, according to Us Weekly, shortly after posting the photos, the ones with Meghan in them were removed. Same with the photos that Kris had shared.

Initially, I wondered if this was a snub on the American royals’ (KarJenner) part—Revolutionary War part deux? But according to some snooping from TMZ, the photos of Meghan were taken down because the party took place on Remembrance Sunday, aka British Veterans Day, and it could be seen as insensitive that the Sussexes were out partying. So, clearly, it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who asked for its removal. 

I dunno, man. The crossover of people who care deeply about the politics of Remembrance Day and would be offended if the Sussexes are at an open bar with Snoop Dogg is already a full circle. Meghan and Harry ought to be OK with not courting to those folks, cut their losses, and just enjoy the absolutely not-fun birthday party PR event they’ve been invited to. Also, you’re attending a KarJenner event—that is essentially a photo shoot with an espresso martini fountain.

The new philosophical question we ought to ask ourselves is, “If you take a photo with Kim Kardashian at her mom’s 70th James Bond-themed birthday bash, and she thinks she looks good in it, is there really a chance she won’t post it?”
