Kylie Minogue wants us to take a little disco with our eggnog. According to Idolator, she is recording “a seasonal LP comprised of ‘classics’ and ‘disco-influenced’ originals.” Hell yes.
Minogue’s airy, candy-coated vocals are a delight in any context, and, as someone very often bored by holiday music, I would welcome her ethereal discothèque influence. What’s more, Minogue is already something of a Yuletide mainstay. Every year, her cover of “Santa Baby” hits the charts in the United Kingdom.
