Lawsuit Claims Mariah Carey's Former Assistant Was Assaulted and Peed On at Work

Latest

This week, news broke that Mariah Carey is suing her former assistant, Lianna Shakhnazaryan for extortion. But Shakhnazaryan is also suing Carey, claiming that she was subject to sexual battery and harassment on the job.

According to Buzzfeed News, court documents allege that Stella Bulochnikov, Carey’s former manager, held Shakhnazaryan down and peed on her multiple times. Bulochnikov also allegedly lifted Shakhnazaryan’s breasts and placed objects, like iPhones and remote controls, beneath them. She also claims that Carey would yell at her to “Move your fat Armenian ass.” Shakhnazaryan was Carey’s assistant from 2015-2017 and is suing for lost wages and damages.

But in a lawsuit filed against Shakhnazaryan, Carey claims her former assistant, who earned $328, 500 a year, took secret, potentially embarrassing videos of the singer and attempted to blackmail her for $8 million with them.

According to Shakhnazaryan’s lawyer, Mark Quigley, Carey’s lawsuit is just an attempt to get in front of the story and discredit her former assistant:

“My client never did anything she wasn’t specifically asked to do while working in the course and scope of her job as a personal assistant,” Quigley told Buzzfeed. “Her lawsuit is about holding her employer accountable for severely inappropriate behavior that caused tremendous stress and emotional turmoil.”

Last year, Stella Bulochnikov sued Mariah Carey for sexual harassment and breach of contract, claiming the singer of regularly got naked in front of her. The two settled the case earlier in January.
