The trailer for the already highly controversial documentary on the Michael Jackson abuse allegations is here, featuring the seductive charm of Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
The two-part documentary Leaving Neverland reportedly takes a very streamlined approach to covering the testimonies of two of Jackson’s alleged victims, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who say they were groomed and molested as children. “He told me that if they ever found out what we were doing, he and I would go to jail for the rest of our lives,” Robson says in the trailer. Critics who reviewed the documentary at its Sundance premiere called it “more disturbing than you can imagine.” The Jackson family has called it a “public lynching.”
Leaving Neverland premieres March 3 and 4 on HBO.
