Princess Diana's Letters Go Up For Auction
Latest
If you had years of handwritten correspondence with Princess Diana, would you sell the collection for some extra cash? That’s exactly what Margaret Hodge, Diana’s old boss, is about to reluctantly do — supposedly in hopes of gaining a little financial comfort in her old age.
The highly-personal letters reveal a Diana who was once head-over-heels for Charles, referring to him as her “other half,” detailing the couple’s long walks, and show Diana calling her new home “a cozy nest for Mr. & Mrs. Wales to roost.” On top of the letters, there’s a somber collection of annual Christmas cards that reflect the building and crumbling of the Royal family. The discomfort can be all yours for a mere $30,000.
