Selfies, Politics and Poop: It's the Annual Peeps Diorama Contest
LatestEaster is just around the corner, so you know what that means: peeps! If there’s anything that truly honors the Christian themes of resurrection and sacrifice, it’s brightly colored sugar gobs molded into misshapen adorable little animals. Of course this season also marks the return of the annual Peeps Show, Washington Post‘s diorama contest that revolves around finding the most creative homage to the most topical news of the year using sugary bunnies. And this year, things got political.
This year’s winner was “I Have a Dream: Martin Luther King Jr. Addresses the Peeple.” That’s right, the ode to the 1963 March on Washington was in full greyscale, complete with signs demanding voting rights.
