T.I.: 'Not to be Sexist But,' Women Are Too Emotional to Be President

This week, TI appeared on DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show to discuss important political topics—or shall I say, TI holographed in from 1954 to drop his extremely idiotic opinions about how a woman shouldn’t be president because we make rash decisions and could nuke something.

TI, once one of my favorite rappers of all time, is a person who cosigned Iggy Azalea, giving her enough credibility that we all have to grapple with her now. Now, he’s applying that legendary wisdom and foresight to the political arena.

As noted by VIBE, Tip elucidated his very complex reasons for not voting for Hillary Clinton:

“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

So basically women couldn’t be in charge of the nuclear codes because of our periods, obvi!

The rapper goes on to talk about how he likes Trump as a businessperson but couldn’t vote for him because he is racist. Look, I’m not out here looking for pop cultural icons to be geniuses when it comes to politics; they’re entertainers first and foremost, so it’s a pleasant surprise when they’re plugged in, but not really their purpose. But sometimes a person you liked comes out and says some caveman shit and you’ve got to call them on it, and/or point out they have been cosigning the shittiest, third-tier artists—Iggy! Travis!—and using it to further justify how no one should listen to them. No one listen to TI! He’s an idiot!
