'Time After Time' Vs. 'Africa:' What Was the Best Musical Moment on TV Last Night?
Latest
So many charming musical moments on Thursday night television and, no, I’m not talking about Glee or American Idol. On last night’s Parks and Recreation, Ann uses April’s need of a written recommendation for vet school (also: April is going to vet school!) to bribe her into being friends, a relationship that, despite April’s open and oft times hostile reluctance, Ann has yearned for for several seasons. Their friendship has a bumpy start, with Ann forcing April to go get manicures (April gets some funky nail art that reads “ANN SUCKS”) and talk about Sex and the City, but things finally take a turn for the better when Ann confesses to April that she’s in the process of trying to convince Chris to be her sperm donor. April, satisfied by Ann’s honesty, indulges her by joining in on a harmonized duet of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” Things then get even better when Donna (who has never failed to improve a situation) bursts through the door and joins in. Safe to say that it was fucking adorable.
Bonus: Jenny Slate!
