Victoria Beckham Loves ALL Her Children
If you’re Victoria and you’re being interviewed months after your son aired out the family drama, what are you going to do when they inevitably ask about it? Avoid saying his name and talk about your eyeliner.

Victoria Beckham would like to stay on message, thank you very much. That is, when asked about her son’s very public severing of their relationship, she has nothing to add, other than that she loves her children. What more could there possibly be to discuss?
Victoria recently sat down with The Wall Street Journal to talk about her brands, the Beckhams, but NOT Brooklyn, her eldest son, who accused his parents of being toxic following his engagement to his now-wife, Nicola Peltz. In his Instagram dissent, Brooklyn alleged that his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, pressured him to give up the rights to his name, excluded Peltz from family events, and also accused Victoria of “hijacking” his first dance with Peltz and of dancing “very inappropriately” with him, leaving the bride in tears at their 2022 wedding reception. So, if you’re Victoria and you’re being interviewed months after your son aired out some salacious family drama, what are you going to do when you’re inevitably asked about it? Well, just deflect!
“I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much,” Victoria said. The interviewer, Ellen Gamerman, noted that Victoria never mentioned Brooklyn’s name throughout the interview, even though she provided updates on the other children.
“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.” That’s it?
Victoria, who referred to herself as a “reformed control freak,” added, “Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children,” she says. “I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.”
In his Instagram dissent, Brooklyn further accused his parents of being overly fixated on image and prioritizing the Beckham “brand” over family. Brooklyn’s own attempts to break into the entrepreneurial realm that his parents mastered haven’t really been successful yet, or maybe need a little more salt.
But thankfully, the “negative press” has not affected Victoria’s brand. “I think ultimately people are buying my product because it’s really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
Victoria clearly wants to stay on message here, but she fails to realize that the Great Beckham Beef is the new brand, even though I’m sure the eyeliner is great, too!
