Are you in need of some Good News™? Gee, I can’t possibly imagine why. Well, you’re in luck because a celebrity baby announcement is incoming. And what better news than a baby that isn’t yours? Unless…never mind.
It’s unclear when the Oscar-nominated actress gave birth, but she revealed her pregnancy in May when she showed up to the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026 at Paris Fashion Week with a not-so-little accessory (read: a discernible bump). Weeks later, the news was confirmed by various outlets. Ronan and Lowden have been a couple since they first met on Mary, Queen of Scots in 2023 and were joined in holy (and “sworn-to-secrecy” level) matrimony in Edinburgh, Scotland, in July 2024. In addition to a child, the exceptionally gifted actors also collaborated on a previous project, The Outrun (a film that should’ve absolutely won more awards) in 2024.
By Ronan’s own admissions, a family has been a long time coming. In 2024, she told British Vogue that she’d “always wanted” to settle down for a spell to have a child. “I became successful when I was quite young. It meant that by the time I found my partner, I’m now at the stage where if it happened, I would like to have a kid,” Ronan said. “I feel fortunate enough that if I step out of this for a minute, I’m hopefully not giving it up forever.”
Currently, Ronan’s latest film, Bad Apples, is premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), while Lowden is on paternity leave from filming a forthcoming Pride and Prejudice adaptation, in which he stars as Mr. Darcy. Some girls do get it all…
