Beyoncé Talks Elevator Fiasco In "Flawless" Remix Featuring Nicki Minaj

CelebritiesDirt Bag

Yesterday Beyoncé dropped a remix of her song “Flawless,” on her website and brought her friend Nicki Minaj along for the ride! In the remix, Beyoncé rhymes about how “You wish I was your pound cake” and “You wish I was your baby mama” and other fun stuff. Then, she drops a little ditty about the elevator scandal, in which her sister Solange attacked Jay Z, that set the whole world ablaze:

We escalatin’, up in this bitch like elevators
Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator

I mean it’s a very Beyoncé way of addressing the situation. She’s talking about it, but she’s not really saying that much about it. (It’s basically a sassier version of the statement the Knowles-Carter family released after the Event.) The more telling part comes right after, when Bey cackles and then we hear the “ka-ching” of a cash register. Mhmm.

Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy Jr. were married yesterday on the Kennedy family compound on Cape Cod. They were joined by about 300 guests including Larry David, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, Kevin Nealon and Ed Begley Jr. Cheryl Hines wore a lovely cocktail-length Romona Keveža gown and apparently they served pizza along with other steamed lobster and clambakes. AWW. [Daily Mail]

Jon Voight in very Jon Voight fashion, has penned a rather vociferous letter on Hollywood Reporter accusing Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem of inciting anti-Semitism after they signed a letter condemning the bombing of Palestinian civilians. In the letter, he gives a “history” of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and then demands they hang their head in shame and “ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel.” [Hollywood Reporter]
