So much for that whole conspiracy theory that Billy Murray was shocked and appalled by Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters remake. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Murray has signed on to appear in the 2016 remake.
Murray was initially resistant to the remake, he called rumors of his involvement “crazy talk” during an appearance on David Letterman. He joins Dan Aykroyd who, in a July tweet, said he “on set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig. Lady GB’s are adorable, hilarious and badass.”
Now that both Aykroyd and Murray have signed on to the film, what will angry men complain about? Looks like those most invested in the Ghostbusters’ legacy are perfectly fine with the all-women cast.
