Blake Lively's Lifestyle Website Will Be Called 'Preserve'

Latest

I was just thinking the other day: Boy, I sure wish I had another out of touch celebrity lifestyle website to browse through and weep openly at all the things I can’t afford. Thankfully, Blake Lively will be filling that void with her new lifestyle site, “Preserve.”

Preserve will focus on artisans and products, many hand-made one-of-a-kind items all selected by Blake. Items will be available for purchase through the site. Preserve is all about story-telling through video. Blake will be in some of these videos.

A publicist source confirmed to E! Online that the launch date will be “very soon,” which is not a date. More specifically, “Preserve” will be launching sometime next week. Speaking to the British edition of Vogue in 2013, Lively pushed this whole storytelling-of-a-curated-life idea.

The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there – it’s without a genre.

I like to think that all of our lives are one-of-a-kind in their own special way despite not having Blake Lively curating our purchases thus far, but I do not have a lifestyle website so what do I know.

I must ask, however, what exactly will we be preserving? Certainly not our money. Will this be a site about refashioning items you already own into new treasures? Doesn’t seem like it. It can’t be about preserving the life you currently lead because then you wouldn’t need the website. Will everything involve a mason jar? TELL ME, BLAKE.

The most important question here is: Will Blake Lively be able to out-Goop Gwyneth Goopy Goop? Is there a new stratosphere of pretentious, laughably expensive lifestyle advice-giving that we have not yet reached? Will Blake Lively be the one to lead us on that bold mission? I guess we’ll find out “very soon.”
