Drunk Dude Poses as TSA Agent and Pats Down Woman at SFO
LatestGet drunk and hit the … airport? A San Francisco man reportedly got liquored up and decided to impersonate a Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) agent at San Francisco airport so he could feel up strangers. Who is screening the screeners, guys?
On Wednesday, a 53-year-old man, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, donned a believable TSA outfit including “khaki pants, a blue polo shirt and blue rubber gloves,” the uniform of SFO’s private security firm Covenant. While on duty, the interloper directed a woman into a private security booth for a pat down, which was odd because only female TSA agents are allowed to clear female passengers. The second time the drunk tried it, Covenant workers noticed, realized he wasn’t even their colleague, probably smelled his breath and called the police.
The impersonator was arrested but only for suspicion of public drunkenness because police have yet to find the woman he patted down. If they locate this passenger who rushed off to catch her flight after the incident, authorities can further charge him.
