Everyone Wants To Bone The Navy SEALS
LatestAmerica’s collective jubilation over the death of the leader of al Qaeda has evolved into fascination with the men (and dog) who successfully pulled off one of the Jason Bourne-iest operations in recent memory. Of course, now everyone wants to know what it would be like to have sex with them*.
The Washington Post reports that there is already a subgenre of romance novels that center around a relationship with SEALS and that publishers expect and uptick in demand for the literature after last Sunday’s events.
“When something like this happens, it is going to be huge,” said Gail Chasan, senior editor at Harlequin Enterprises Special Edition, the Ontario-based publisher synonymous with the romance novel genre.
Chasan need only look at the nonfiction bestseller list world to know. “SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper,” which has not even been released, is already No. 6 on Amazon’s bestseller list.
Readers, if romance novels are your thing, and you’ve always dreamed of bedding a man in a very difficult to obtain uniform, look no further than your local bookstore or library. I assume you’ll be spending the rest of the afternoon in your bunk.
*good, I bet.
