This December didn’t exactly sweep in on a cloud of good tidings and evergreen scent, now did it? But don’t despair, for unto you a child is born—specifically, a baby pygmy goat named Benjamin who’s being raised in a nursery and is the absolute goddamn cutest thing ever.
The Daily Dot has a deep dive on the little fella, who was rejected by his mother and is currently being raised by a handsome Yorkshireman named Tom. You’ve probably seen Benjy before; a short video of his prancing has been making the rounds on Facebook. But you must see the original BBC report in its entirety. Watch as he gambols to the tune of “The Lonely Goatherd,” from The Sound of Music! Listen as the reporter attempts to restrain himself from literally cooing at the creature!
And there’s more where that came from, at Benjamin’s Facebook page. Just go right ahead and inject some mood-altering cuteness straight into your veins:
That’s the good stuff, right there.
The story was such a success that Benjamin was asked to appear on live television, visiting a BBC studio. He promptly shit on the couch. Make this goat a cohost on the new View!
