Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence are apparently dating. It’s Friday, this week has been horrible, so what the hell? Sure.

According to a report from E! News, Gwyneth Paltrow’s uncoupling partner and Katniss Everdeen “are seeing each other.”

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are seeing each other, multiple sources confirm to E! News. We’re told that the pair has been spending quality together since late June after the Oscar winner split with her X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult.

It seems possible that these sources are just trolling E! News with semantics and they simply mean that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have laid eyes on each other with some frequency over the last couple of months.

Maybe Jennifer Lawrence is thinking of purchasing property across the street from the Brentwood home where Chris Martin and Goopy Goop still live together and their eyes met as Jennifer was examining the front lawn and Chris was bringing the trash out.

Perhaps they attend the same pilates studio and their eyes have met from across the parking lot.

My bet is that since Jennifer Lawrence’s career is indestructible right now, she knows it’s the perfect time to launch an ill-conceived music career and is turning to Chris Martin for tips.

Or, maybe 37-year-old Chris Martin and 24-year-old Jennifer Lawrence have a connection and are just riding this thing out to see where it goes. With any luck, this will turn into one of those progressive, blended family scenarios—like a cross between Modern Family and the Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher/Bruce Willis situation circa 2008.
