To Madonna, Kanye West isn’t just another fellow musician, artist, designer or even “comrade.” No. He is, per her Madgesty, “the black Madonna.”

If you ask the one and only Madonna, the man behind “Stronger” and “Gold Digger” deserves plenty of praise for his work both on and off the stage.
“Kanye is the new Madonna,” she told the New York Daily News while promoting her new album Rebel Heart. “Kanye is the black Madonna.”
She continued, “We know, and recognize, that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre.”
Honestly, I wouldn’t argue with someone like Madonna. But to be clear, I’m talking about the original Madonna, the one with an occasional British lilt. Not black Madonna. I mean, I love me some Kanye and all; but until I see a good cover of “Lucky Star,” all bets are off.
