Liberty Ross is Over Her Cheating Ex. So Over Him, Here's Her Nipple

To the women frequenting She’s a Mistress dot com: The best way to prove you’re over your ex-husband, you know, the one who cheated on you with his much younger co-worker and got caught through a series of embarrassing photos that were published everywhere (sometimes with hilarious results) is to pose for Vanity Fair in a wet, nipple-revealing dress on the beach.

Model and former wife of Snow White and Huntsman director Rupert Sanders Liberty Ross has BROKEN HER SILENCE about the affair that crippled her life, Vanity Fair reveals in a sneak preview of a story that will be in their December issue. What have we learned from Beautiful Person Liberty Ross? Being publicly humiliated by the star of a movie series about sexually frustrated vampires, was, unsurprisingly, “horrible. It was really the worst, really the worst”:

“I have no words to describe what we went through,” Ross says. “But I think, for me, something always has to completely die for there to be a rebirth. And, for me, I feel like I’m going through a rebirth.”

After Sanders told her about the affair (shortly before the photos leaked), Ross used an interesting tactic to get through things:

“I just visualized [being] this sort of Masai warrior. I was just going to stand very still and very strong, and just let it all roll past me. I tried to keep as far away from it as I could and to understand that this is my family and it’s the most precious thing to me.”

Ross says that though she’s “not a quitter,” she decided not to stay with Sanders because she realized she hadn’t been “feeling 100 percent right” about the relationship for some time, and had been “very lonely, very disconnected” from him. Their move to Los Angeles had put pressure on the relationship:

“I went from really the high end of it all, and then I’m living on a hilltop in Hollywood Hills, breast-feeding.”

This is despite the fact that she was really proud of the success Sander had found with Snow White, the movie that would ultimately lead to the demise of their relationship:

“We were driving around town and seeing these billboards of his movie. We were so excited, like, ‘Wow, how did we do that?’ I was so proud of him, what he’d done—what we’d done. We were a team, and the movie was made out of love.”

“I’m not a quitter,” Ross says, “I’ve done everything I could to be the perfect wife and mother and really support my husband. But I just didn’t have any more to give, you know?” That being said, she has no regrets about their relationship and she forgives him. Vanity Fair hasn’t forgotten who’s really important though; the title of the article is “Liberty Ross on Kristen Stewart’s Affair with Her Husband, Rupert Sanders.” Which also could be read as “Liberty Ross on KRISTEN STEWART’S Affair with HER Husband (Rupert Sanders, afterthought).”

The article and photoshoot is accompanied by a slideshow of other photos of Ross from the past; four of them feature her nipples in some capacity. So for all you scorned women out there: Don’t get mad, get nipple.
