Mariah Carey's New Single 'Infinity' Wonders, 'Why You Mad?'
Entertainment
Mariah Carey released an unnecessary lyric video for her new single “Infinity,” a breakup song that fully exorcises a love once thought eternal whose name might be Nick Cannon.

I’m not feeling it! In her pantheon of records aimed at ain’t-shit dudes—see: the entirety of Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel—“Infinity” seems like a lesser version of “It’s A Wrap” or “H.A.T.E.U.” Mariah has a way of delivering childish, cutting comebacks with a certain delicate rage, and the best of her breakup-ballad lyrics tend to embrace juvenile spite.
Unfortunately, these are some of her weakest disses:
“Why you mad? Talking ’bout you mad?/ Could it be that you just lost the best you ever had?”
“Boy, you actin’ so corny like Fritos/ Wouldn’t have none of that without me, though/ Ain’t none of my business, it’s tea though”
“Everything you own, boy, you still owe”
In any case, it seems like Mariah is in full petty form leading up to her Vegas residency.
