Normcore Toddler Has Personal Injury Lawyer-Themed Birthday Party
LatestBart is known for his ever-present terrible TV ads prominently featuring his slogan, “One call, that’s all!” In other words, Bart is the South’s answer to Cellino & Barnes.
“Before he could walk or talk, every time the Morris Bart commercial would come on, he was just fixated,” Dobra’s mother L’erin said in an interview. “You couldn’t talk to him. You couldn’t do anything with him. He would just sit and stare at the TV. You could call his name, give him a toy. He didn’t care. He just wanted to watch the Bart commercial. He’s been that way ever since, and when he started talking he would say, ‘One call’ or ‘Bart, Bart, Bart, Morris Bart, Morris Bart.’
The Wall Street Journal reports that Bart was not as indulgent as maybe he could have been:
The star of the party didn’t make an appearance. But after Ms. Dobra emailed his office about her idea, Mr. Bart sent her an autographed photo, Morris Bart key chains and a New Orleans Pelicans shirt displaying his logo on the back. The shirt was size extra-large…
Mr. Bart said he’s been advertising on television for 35 years and as his own pitchman, it’s not surprising to get a call from a fan asking for an autograph.
“This was an unusual request,” he told Law Blog in a phone interview Tuesday. “I’m flattered by it.”
The party featured a Morris Bart cake, a signed Morris Bart photo, a life-sized Morris Bart cutout and a Morris Bart t-shirt, which he is now obsessed with.
“He still loves his Morris Bart shirt,” L’erin said. “If you put it on him, you’d better not try to take it off. He will throw a fit. He has his two photos on the nightstand, and he likes to give Morris Bart a kiss goodnight sometimes. He is literally obsessed with Morris Bart.”
God bless this odd little kid.
