An army major returning from duty in Afghanistan gave his wife the surprise of her life earlier this week.
Army Major Michael Harlow and his two daughters worked with the Mississippi Braves (a minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves) to arrange it so that his wife Darla was “randomly” selected to throw out the first pitch at Friday’s game. Darla didn’t know until after Michael caught the ball and raised the catcher’s mask from his fact that her husband was behind the plate.
