Watch Michelle Obama Surprise Leslie Knope on Parks and Rec

Last night’s Parks and Recreation — the season six finale — was Councilman Jamm-packed with special guest appearances. Jeff Tweedy, Yo La Tengo, The Decemberists, Tammy 2, Jean-Ralphio and Mona-Lisa Saperstein all stopped by, but most exciting of all (for Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope, at least) was an appearance by First Lady Michelle Obama.

For a show that forever seemed like it was on the brink of cancellation, Parks and Rec has always gotten the best political cameos. From John McCain to Joe Biden to this (I second Leslie’s excitement and would also love to press palms with the first lady), they continually manage to draw big names. Who knows? Maybe Knope and POTUS will be hanging out in season 7.
