Believe It: The X-Files Is Coming Back from the Great Beyond

Get those fan fiction skills ready! Mulder and Scully, the pair you wrote erotic stories about in middle school are reuniting for a six-episode arc on FOX. No date’s been announced, but it’s really happening and it’s probably going to be even more terrifying than before.

Vulture reports that the show, which aired from 1993 to 2002 and boasted an impressive 202 episodes (at least five of which made me frightened to sleep), is going back into production this summer and that Mulder and Scully will return for a limited time to solve animal crimes on your television set. Now we’ve just got to hope that the reunion holds up to the original show. Vulture points out that 24’s miniseries was underwhelming and considering how excited I was for Dead Like Me to make a comeback on HBO, I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the movie that was made for the fans. Don’t fuck this one up, FOX! Like Vulture, we want to believe this will work!
