Cardi B, who was among the performers at last night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, is in the midst of completing a new album which may address her feud with Nicki Minaj. Sources in the Bardi camp are claiming that she’s already recorded several tracks which “take some serious jabs at Nicki.” Thus far, it seems that her camp is divided between those who think Cardi should bury the hatchet, and those encouraging her to address it. Allegedly, Cardi herself is of the latter mindset, especially considering that her lyrics and projects have always been autobiographical.
I support her decision either way. I have followed this beef since its inception some twelve months ago; I still have only a faint idea of its origins. I know it involves Nicki, one or more of the Migos, and obviously Cardi. Then Cardi threw a shoe and Nicki invoked the spirit of Harriet Tubman. The rest of the details have kind of evaded me, so hopefully if Cardi does record a song or an opera or perform an interpretive dance, I’ll have a better grasp of the drama.

Melania Trump Calling for Boycott of T.I.
Melania Trump is calling for a boycott of T.I. following the rapper’s release of a video in which he parodies the current administration. The one minute video, which featured a Melania doppelganger working as an exotic dancer, came on the heels of Kanye West’s visit to the Oval Office. Melania, who believes herself the most bullied person in the world, was defended via a statement from her director of communications, Stephanie Grisham, who said to CNN, “Like it or not, she is the first lady and this is the White House. It’s disrespectful and disgusting to portray her this way simply because of politics. These kinds of vulgar attacks only further the divisiveness and bias in our country — it needs to stop.”- Ariana Grande speaks for the first time since her breakup. [The Independent]
