Ship it much? Ian McKellan, aka Magneto from the X-Men movies, and his “BFF” Sir Patrick Stewart, aka Professor X from the X-Men movies, met each other on the red carpet for Mr. Holmes, the new McKellan vehicle in which he stars as “an aging Sherlock Holmes.” If that concept weren’t enough fodder for fan fic authors everywhere, here’s this photograph of a friendly smooch between friends. While it would be wonderful if the two would throw away their compunction and run away together, it likely won’t happen: McKellan officiated Stewart’s wedding to Sunny Ozell in 2013. But we can dream.
