Though we’ve gotten a few glimpses of the torrid love affair between Lindsay Lohan and James Deen in their sure-to-be-a-cult-classic film The Canyons, the latest trailer for the movie prompts me to say that August 2 just cannot come fast enough. Will it better to see it on Video On Demand, in the privacy of your own home, accompanied by a ton of white wine spritzers? Or is a theater with [insert your city here]’s finest lovers of trash the best way to go?
“I guess I’d like to keep some parts of my life private,” Lohan says in the film. Gosh, she’s her character but she’s also maybe talking about herself? I’m now realizing I don’t even know what The Canyons is about anymore, but pure unadulterated fantasticness. IMDB says, “Youth, glamour, sex and Los Angeles, circa 2012.” CIRCA 2012! The glory years. Plus the hot dude from MTV’s Awkward is in it so bonus points to Hollywood for casting another beautiful person.
