Strauss-Kahn's Legal Troubles Continue In France
LatestDominique Strauss-Kahn is back in France, but his troubles with the law aren’t over yet. He’s now being questioned regarding rape allegations made by writer Tristiane Banon.
Banon has accused Strauss-Kahn of trying to rape her in 2002. Her mother, Anne Mansouret, discouraged her from going public at the time — and now she says she had “consensual but clearly brutal sex” with DSK. French authorities are currently questioning him about Banon’s allegations, though no charges have been filed. Strauss-Kahn’s lawyer says the accusations are “a figment of [Banon’s] own imagination,” and has filed a slander complaint. But the Banon case could harm Strauss-Kahn’s chances of a swift comeback in French politics.
