The Duggars' Video Message To Their Miscarried Child Is For You Too, Folks

When pictures leaked from the memorial service the Duggars held for Jubilee Shalom, the daughter they lost earlier this month, it was unclear if they were actually intended for public consumption. Now we have an answer, since the Duggars have posted a four and a half minute video featuring one of the shots on their website. Supposedly, it’s an audio letter to Jubilee, but it seems some lines are meant for a wider audience:

So often in society babies are looked upon as a problem, trial, or responsibility but God says babies are a blessing. We do not believe that babies are a bother, a headache, or a financial drainer, or a career interrupter. We love babies!

It’s not strange for families mourning such a loss to share photos or messages to their child. But is it really necessary to pontificate on how other people should react to a pregnancy?
