This November, the final Hunger Games movie will burn a path of destruction through your movie theater, starting with a midnight premiere and blazing through the holiday season. The first official trailer for the film is here and, while it’s epic, it’s also kind of tiring.

If the first Mockingjay film was meant to teach you that war is hell by making the experience a slog for the moviegoer, the second film is more of the same. I’ll still see it, of course, but what’s meant to look like the most exciting addition to the series—so many explosions!—also looks like it might be the dreariest. Which is sort of the point.
At just two-and-a-half minutes, the trailer is already making me want to volunteer to take on the Capitol instead of sitting through the entire movie at the theater. No one take that seriously, though; I’d be the first to die if the Hunger Games ever came to Jezebel.
