Photographer Leland Bobbé is taking pictures of drag performers who have “done” only half their faces. “My intention,” says Bobbé, “is to capture both the male and the alter-ego female side of these subjects in one image. Through the power of hair and makeup these men are able to completely transform themselves.” He says the sharp line of cosmetic demarcation is not created with Photoshop: “These are composed in camera and are not two separate images joined together.”
