Beto O’Rourke answered his first question of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary debate in Spanish, which seemed to trouble Cory Booker. But why?

Well, as was revealed later in the debate when Booker answered one of his own questions in Spanish, the New Jersey senator had clearly planned to wow the crowd with the move but was beat to the punch.
