Watch a Very Smug Circa 2008 Jared Fogle Explain That Pedophiles Who Get Caught Are Idiots

According to Uproxx, Fogle appeared on a very premature episode of VH1’s I Love the New Millennium and had some very important words for everyone who was on Chris Hansen’s brownie party:

In the episode covering 2005, Fogle — who, as we know now, is about to plead guilty to charges of child pornography and sex with minors — provided his hilarious insights about Dateline NBC’s To Catch a Predator. He says: “These guys continue to fall for it every single time. There must be, like, a hundred million episodes of this show, and these guys still come out.” Oh, the irony…

First of all, there were only 12 episodes (which is a crime in itself), not hundreds. Second of all, considering that Fogle himself thought that no one was onto his child-diddling ways, it’s surprising that he doesn’t see why men like him would take the risk of being arrested on national television for the chance of having sex with a child. Because, you know, that’s exactly what Fogle did. Sadly, 2008 is also the first time Subway was warned about Fogle’s crimes. They didn’t do anything then.
