Watch This Super Cool Music Video About How Dudes Love Asian Girls

Latest

If you’re the kind of person who misses the days of Incubus and Linkin Park but wishes they had been just a little more offensive, here is a new track from your new favorite band Day Above Ground. It’s called “Asian Girlz” and it’s devoted to praising the aforementioned Asian women whose “sticky rice” the band loves. Also “buttfucking all night.”

“Asian Girlz” seems to be a drastic change from Day Above Ground’s first music video, which was a lot of emo darkness. It features an Asian model slowly taking her clothes off as the band sings a song full of as many stereotypes about Asian culture you could think of. Happy endings. Bruce Lee. Toyota. Wonton soup. Slanted eyes. Year of the Dragon. Spring rolls. It’s all a part of Day Above Ground’s “mission”, you see:

Day Above Ground is a on a mission. With a solid foundation based on traditional roots of the past, paired with the relevance of now and a clear vision of the future, this is only the begining [sic] of their already impressive journey. Having just returned from their first official tour beyond the local scene, it’s clear they are up for the next challenge and eager to connect with their fan base on a larger scale.

In response to the less-than-complimentary YouTube comments about their “song” Day Above Ground has posted a new explanation of the video clarifying their intent:

We appreciate all the criticism and support. Our song “Asian Girlz” was not written with any malicious, hateful, or hurtful intent. We know it is racy and does push the boundaries further than other songs out there. Understand that we do not promote or support racism or violence. We love everyone no matter what race, religion, or sexual orientation. Please respect our decision to delete any violent, insensitive, or hurtful comment and also one that supports racism. We hope that we can continue with our lives with much love and peace.
